I spent years building software for some of the largest companies in the world. Boeing, Nike, Lufthansa. Systems that moved billions, optimised supply chains, and processed millions of transactions a day. By every corporate metric, they worked.

But something kept bothering me. These companies had world-class tools for tracking inventory, shipments, and conversion rates. Nobody had a tool for the one thing that actually matters: the people in your life.

I noticed it in myself first. My calendar was full, but full of the wrong things. Standups, syncs, quarterly reviews. Meanwhile, I hadn't called my best friend in two months. I missed my brother's housewarming because it never made it into any system. The people closest to me were getting whatever time was left over.

That is when it clicked. We have operating systems for work, for finances, for fitness. Nothing exists for relationships. Not a social network that wants your attention. Not a messenger that counts your streaks. Something quiet that simply helps you show up for the people you care about.

I left the corporate world and built Lieto. A small team, a clear mission: technology that strengthens human connection instead of replacing it. Private by design, never selling your data, never competing for your attention. Just a calendar that puts people first.
