We searched a long time for the right name. “Lieto” kept winning – because in two very different languages it says exactly what we're building.

In Lozi, lieto means a journey; the close form leeto carries the same sense. Every gathering begins with a small journey – a plan, a date, the way there.
Put them together and you get Lieto: the journey toward the people you love, and the happiness waiting at the end of it. Life with the people who matter, turned into a richer, more interesting journey – full of wonderful memories.
THE STORY
I missed the people I talk to every day.
Hi – I'm Aleksander.
A while ago it hit me: I talked to my closest friends every day, but hadn't actually seen most of them in months. So I started building Lieto – to find the one hour we're both free, and turn “let's catch up soon” into a real Tuesday night.
For years I built software for some of the world's most recognised companies – Boeing, Nike, Lufthansa – systems that moved billions and ran at a global scale. None of them ever solved the thing that matters most: the people in your life. Lieto is where I put that experience to work.
No ads, no selling your data, no fighting for your attention – just a calendar that puts people first.
